You either purchase chips or build your chips up to play. Once you have a substantial number of chips all of a sudden they disappear. At first Zynga will replace them and finally they will refuse and say your Facebook account has been hacked and will no longer replace them. This happened to me. I lost 420 million chips 13 times in two weeks and then they refused to replace them after that because I told them I was tired of following their steps that take one to three hours to complete each time this happens and they don't work period!
